Polish Hussars hardened sabre with scabbard 17th century The best sabre for fencing!
A faithful copy of a 17th century hussar sabre. Adapted for use from horseback, mainly used by the hussars, it was also known as the hussar scabbard or curved (sloped) scabbard.
The forgedand hardened head is drawn in two furrows. The hilt with a bail and the cap together with the pigtail are made of brass, while the wooden handle is wrapped in natural leather for optimal grip.
The sabre is made of high-carbon steel, hardened to a hardness of 48-52 HRC. This sword can be used, for example, during re-enactment performances by historical teams without worrying about its strength.
It has a blunt edge of approximately 2.5 mm, so it does not chip or splinter. It is possible to order the sabre in a sharpened version.
The scabbard is made of wood, covered with natural leather with a "butt" joint. The scabbard fittings are made of brass, their shape and decoration correspond to the appearance of the handle.
Dimensions:
total length of the sabre in the scabbard - 98 cm
