Many lovers of historical militaria dream of owning antique firearms in their collections. Fulfilling this dream comes at a huge cost, which is why they usually choose collector replica weapons of this kind.
M1 Garand Rifle piece of American history Denix 1105 - replica
M1 rifle caliber 30, colloquially Garand, participant in three "conflicts": World War II, Korea and partly the Vietnam War. For many years armed by the US Army, including allied countries. The favorite weapon of soldiers providing increased firepower, considered a highly successful construction in comparison with repeatable and early semi-automatic rifles.
Impressively shown on the big screen (next to Thompson), in full swing, epic story from the first days of the invasion of Normandy - "Private Ser Ryan"
- M1 semi-automatic rifle caliber 30-06 (7.62 x 63mm)
from 1932 Denix again showed what it can do.
The replica is made of ZnAl, an aluminum zinc alloy combined with wooden elements. The wood used is probably a pine - a local species of pine tree family. Aesthetic and precise way of joining wood and metal, dark brown stain with preserved wood grain, mounting screws almost invisible, everything as it should be.
M1 is a semi-automatic weapon, firing with a single fire. A working hammer-type shock-trigger mechanism has been installed in the replica. The lock is locked by turning, after reloading you can perform the so-called dry shot. After pulling the zipper back, you can see a permanent magazine, where in the case of the original 8 bullets landed using a double-row loader. Presented Garand has a closed sight-sight, with a hole with a diameter of about 3mm, a front sight, a bayonet mount and three belt buckles, of which one at the mouth of the barrel - not closed. The rest of the functional elements, such as weapon protection, the sighting mechanism or the glove box have been marked in the cast - it does not fulfill its function.
- total length 1100mm
- barrel length 605mm
- 3.6 kg weight
Presented M1 rifle looks no different from the original, by weight it is lighter by about 70dkg.
A tasty treat for reconstruction groups, collectors and above all for those of you who want to hang this "piece of American history" on their own wall. I recommend to attention!
The replica faithfully reflects the original, but it does not have any utility features or the possibility of conversion into a firearm (within the meaning of the Act on weapons and ammunition of May 21, 1999 - Journal of Laws of 2012, item 576, as amended).
