€524.81
Karabela '' Armenian '' 18th century
A saber with a brass handle in the form of a karabela, educated in Poland under Turkish influence. Brass handle richly decorated with floral motifs, arms straight guard. A decorative sling is attached to the handle, made of a material tape ended with a tassel - a burgundy bunch. Metal blade, chrome finished with a characteristic so-called hammer.
On both sides of the blade etched inscriptions: "Deus Spes Mea" (Only God, Glory) and "Salt Deo Gloria" (God, My Hope),
Wooden scabbard, tucked in black leather with brass fittings also richly decorated. Patinated brass elements polished in convex places. The name "Armenian" comes from the producers of this type of sabers - Lviv Armenians. These sabers are characteristic for the turn of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The construction of the handle indicates low combat suitability. Rather, they were used as decorations and elements of a rich noble costume.
Saber dimensions:
saber length with scabbard - 94.5 cm
blade length - 78cm
blade width at the base -3.5 cm
saber weight with scabbard - 2.2 kg
CHROME BLADE, NO MAINTENANCE REQUIRED. BEAUTIFUL VIEW FOR YEARS.
The unsharpened replica of the saber faithfully reflects the original, but it does not have any useful features (within the meaning of the Act on weapons and ammunition of May 21, 1999 - Journal of Laws of 2012, item 576, as amended).
