Badge with the eagle of the Home Army wz. During the occupation, the Eagle of the Home Army was worn by soldiers of the Home Army guerrilla units, who were uniformed and operated in tight groups. It was only during the Warsaw Uprising that the Insurgents were able to officially pin eagles to hats and furriers or paint them on captured German helmets. The eagle refers to the inter-war pattern, but contains the initials AK and the symbol of Fighting Poland on the amazon shield.
