THE AUCTION IS A NEW ONE-HANDED SWORD WITH A HARDENED BLADE, MADE BY POLISH CRAFTSMEN!
Knight's sword from the 15th century with a warhead and a guard typical of the period. The original was found at the site of the Battle of Castillon (1453) in France. Swords of this type were often found in the late Middle Ages, combining both the beauty of form and high combat qualities. Handguard and sword head are made of steel and chained to the handle shaft. According to Oakeshott's typology, the head is marked with V, while the guard is in type 11. The handle linings are made of wood, manually matched to the shape of the stem and wrapped with a leather strap.
The sword is made of high carbon steel, hardened to a hardness of 48-52 HRC. This blade can be used e.g. during reconstruction performances of historical teams without worrying about its durability. It has blunt edges with a thickness of about 2.5mm so that it does not chip or chip off. The groove running through 3/4 of the blade's length significantly improves its elasticity and reduces the weight of the sword. The scabbard is made of wood stretched with natural leather, decorated with steel overlays (you can buy the version with a leather scabbard - please contact us).
dimensions:
total length without scabbard - 105cm
blade length - 80cm
blade width at the guard - 4cm
PERFECT SWORD REPLICA, I RECOMMEND ATTENTION!
The replica of the sword with a blunt blade, faithfully reflects the original, but it does not have any useful features (within the meaning of the Act on weapons and ammunition of May 21, 1999 - Journal of Laws of 2012, item 576, as amended).
