Kościuszkówka is a combat saber used by infantry and cavalry at the end of the 18th century. Extremely popularized during the Kościuszko Uprising in 1794. The name of the saber is associated with the head of Tadeusz Kościuszko, although at the time of its use she was called the broadsword of the National Cavalry. This saber had a closed handle with a bow bent twice at a right angle, and a wooden, decorated shaft. They mainly had uneven parameters and curvature. They were often decorated with ornaments and inscriptions, e.g. VIVAT NATIONAL CAVALERY. Kościuszkówka saber was used by participants of the Battle of Racławice, but also by officers of the Dąbrowski Legions in Italy.
