€14.61
Saber wz. 1934, sometimes called Ludwikówka, from Huta Ludwików, where it was made, is the last Polish cavalry saber. Work on her design lasted from 1925 to 1935, when the minister of military affairs finally approved the 1934 saber. The sword blade was 82.5 cm long. The handle grip was made of wooden and corrugated linings. Brass handguards with a length of 13 cm on one side pass into a bow bent at a right angle, running towards the head of the handle, and on the other end with a hole designed for a sling. An interesting fact are the tests that the saber was subjected to before it went into use, e.g. cutting a steel rod without damaging the blade. According to experts on the saber wz. 1934 had excellent tactical and technical qualities. It became one of the symbols of the September Campaign of 1939.
