Saber wz. 1921 was a regulatory weapon for all types of armed forces. Its parameters were determined by the order of the Minister of Military Affairs of April 12, 1921.

The 80 cm blade was slightly curved. The closed handle was made of brass or oxidized steel, while its frame was made of cross-corrugated wood, and in the case of officer's sabers covered with black leather wrapped in brass wire. The bow formed a right angle with the crossguard, connected from above with an arcuate bow. The saber was in a tin, sometimes nickel-plated sheath. The weight of the saber without scabbard did not exceed 1 kg. Saber wz. 1921 was the most popular saber of the interwar period.
